POSTCARDS FROM THE DISPOSABLE CITY
This project, Postcards from the Disposable City, sought to draw out the public response to buildings and places that were once familiar, but are currently no longer part of the city. These responses serve as an interpretation to the degree of cultural resonance these landmarks still have. Using images from Perspectives from the Ideal City, it sought to explore the public’s perception on urban spaces and landmarks using the device of the postcard as analogy in investigating cultural memory.
